I love watching “what I eat in a day” videos on YouTube so i thought that I could adapt them on my blog. I’m not going to show you what I eat in a basic day… but a special anti-acne meal !! My favorites anti acne foods. Yes, i have been been suffering of acne for quite some time. To have a clear skin, it also come from the inside (i would even say that having a beautiful skin is directly related to your diet). (I TELL YOU MORE HERE).
In the morning, I like to start with either a homemade ginger / turmeric “shot” (diluted in some water, cause the taste is strong haha). Or with either a glass of warm water with lemon.
If my skin is inflamed, ginger and turmeric help me a lot. My skin is a lot less inflamed and lot more brighter when include them in my diet(pretty cool hihi).
I take one of them on an empty stomach.
Breakfast : a green smoothie. I put two handfuls of spinach, a banana, some lemon, the juice of an orange, some coconut oil, some plant-milk (the one I have in my fridge) in my blender. And it’s super good ! When I get up early, I am not necessarily very hungry, so the smoothie is a great alternative because it filled the stomach, without being too heavy. (You can also add turmeric and ginger to fight the inflammation even faster !).
My favorite anti-acne foods for breakfast >>
Spinach : rich in vitamin A and antioxidant.
Orange : rich in vitamin C and antioxidant.
Coconut oil : rich in “good” saturated fatty acids (good for our hormonal system).
For lunch, I make myself a salad. Here you can see two kinds of salads, really simple but delicious. The base of my salads is either spinach or lamb’s lettuce. Then I add tomatoes, corn, avocado, pepper… actually everything i have in my kitchen. I usually season with olive and balsamic oil, lemon, salt and pepper and chia seeds !

Pepper : rich in vitamins C, A and antioxidant.
Avocado : rich in vitamins E, C, potassium and phosphorus.
Chia seed : rich in omega 3 and 6.
Lemon : rich in vitamin C, calcium, potassium and phosphorus.
For diner, I’ll end my day with a juice (my mom invested in one when we started eating healthier). Yes it does fill the belly enough don’t worry ! And…you know, it’s recommended to have a light meal ! (for dinner).
You can see the ingredients of this juice in the photo. I try to take seasonal foods, but it’s true that it’s more complicated in the winter. But not impossible !!
My favorite anti-acne foods for dinner >>
Carrots : rich in beta-carotene (vitamin A), potassium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus.
Parsley : rich in beta-carotene, vitamin C and antioxidant.
Celery : rich in vitamin A and calcium.
Grapefruit : rich in vitamin C, potassium, and calcium.
Beet : rich in antioxidant, potassium and calcium.
CONCLUSION : I love foods that are good for my health and my skin. When my skin is breaking out, it’s certainly due to bad sleep, bad eating (or period)… I enjoy doing those kind of “detox” where i eat only good things for my skin. This consists of eating a mostly raw-based diet (it’s the diet that brings the most good things to my skin and improve my acne) and low glycemic index foods. I’m also trying to incorporate foods like turmeric and ginger that are great against inflammation, SO AMAZING ! But yeah, i really enjoy eating, so if I’m not very busy in my day, I’ll tend to want to snack. So for a day of anti-acne meal, I’ll eat fruits (in winter I love clementines and oranges !), Oleaginous, some avocados (addict as every healthy people haha..) There are plenty of healthy snacks, you just need to think about it.
